One fine day, the three musketeers ie. me, bro and cousin decided to venture out to Zone 2 to get some Vietnamese food!!
My cousin has been raving about this place for ages. But we've been too lazy to go.
So off we went on the red double-decker bus off to...............don't know where.....somewhere....hmm....
Got off the bus, and they were this sweet smell of honey permeating the air......
Bro exclaims: Zone 2 air smells sweeter!!!
Oh anyway we found the flowers which was giving off the sweet smell of honey, it looks a bit like Lavender and it's purple too.
And from across the street, LO AND BEHOLD....
I bring to you......Vietnamese food in London :)
At first I thought it was salad to be eaten raw, then rupa-rupanya I realize later on that it's actually to be mixed into the soup. I can be so silly sometimes.
I believe that they slice the beef quite thinly and later pour hot soup over it.
Different part of the cow.
Meat taste a bit tougher.
Both of the soups are the same I believe. But soup was very very delicious! I think they use superior stock, whereby they use the same soup stock and reboil it again and add more bones to make it sweeter and sweeter.
I like this dish the least out of the three.
Anyway each dish of food was 6 pounds.
I guess the price is a bit steep for Zone 2 food.
I expected the food to be about 4-5 pounds perhaps.
Hmm...but I reason out that they gave us a lot of meat, and also most of the ingredients for the dishes are imported, therefore accounting for the higher cost.
Also the bowls were HUGE!
I think pictures don't do much justice most of the time.
Anyway this was good food!!
Compared to some other crap food which I have been consuming, and I'm certainly NOT talking about my own cooking mind you!
