Sunday Dim Sum Brunch

Went out this afternoon with Wei Shen, Wei Phin and Jenny for Dim Sum at Phoenix Palace in Baker Street. I didn't want to go at first, as I have been spending a lot of money. Eating out practically everyday, thanks to my dear friends. But eventually I succumbed to their persuasive powers to eat dim sum.

Before we left, we over to Jeff's flat and said hello to Jeff, Yu Jin and Anna. I think they were making ice-cream or something with Jeff's ice-cream machine. Haven't seen Yu Jin in ages and he asked me how Aberdeen was, and I told him that I had just finished my exams.

We then took a bus down to Baker Street, and along the way, they showed me Tottenham Court Road and where the new University College Hospital was located. It's this fancy glass building. Very pretty. Apparently Imperial wanted to join with UCL because of their fancy hospital. haha If I was a patient, I would so want to be in that hospital.

Walked into the restaurant and was greeted with fancy Chinese decor and a place brimming full of people sipping chinese tea and dipping their chopsticks into a bowlful of goodies on a Sunday afternoon. Absolutely loved the vibrant and lively atmosphere of the place. I have been deprived in Aberdeen & Inverness!! Realized that I have been missing out on a lot.

Delicious egg tarts

Yummy Siu mai!!

London has the yummiest food ever!!!
Loving the life here :)

Lectured Wei Phin on how he needs to study hard in IMU, so that he doesn't flunk and also get to the partner medical school of his choice. Basically there is NO easy way out and the key to doing well which I have now learned is to glue your ass to the chair!! the whole day, all the time and study, study, study. He says I'm like his grandmother lecturing him. haha.

Later on, went out window shopping with my brother and walked to Covent Garden. Lots of people around caught up in a last minute christmas shopping frenzy.

Walked to Oxford street after that to look for my friend.
He is working for one of the starbucks along oxford street,
but there are so many starbucks along oxford street.
So there I was outside one of the starbucks looking in trying to look for my friend.
And then I thought I saw him bending down to get something so I knocked on the glass window.
Then he looked up.........
Oh no!
It was the wrong person!
So embrassing!!
*quickly runs away*
Okay to be fair he did kinda look like my friend.
Tall, fair looking chinese dude.
Anyway continued my journey walking along oxford street, spotted another starbucks along the road, and went in, and did find my friend in the end.
Went to say hello and ran away after that, cause he was busy working.
hahaha.
The end of the story of how I found my long lost friend.
