Updates

I've just moved up to Glasgow to work about 1.5 months ago.

Still trying to get used to the place.
Being in a big city,
Everything here is expensive, expensive, expensive.

Get to see my friends a lot less as well, cause everyone is all spread out, all over the place.
They're not next door, or downstairs anymore. Where I can just wander downstairs in my pajamas and go knocking on their doors. Sighs again.

In addition, I am having to do plenty of on calls and nights. Sighs...

How I regret not picking psychiatry/paediatrics whereby it will be a total doss, cause there wouldn't be much to do.

Instead I have to put up with relatives shouting at me half the time.
my dear, shouting at me is not gonna make your ill relative faster any better ok?
so please stop shouting, cause you are hurting my ear, and wasting my time. Thanks.

Trying to get used to the new system as well, new system of requesting for bloods, making referrals, request cards, blood tubes etc.

Just today, I was trying to get a patient referred to get a breast biopsy.
Phoned the breast surgery ward, and they pass me from one person to another.
I think I spent almost an hour just trying to make a simple referral.
Everyone just tries to pass the buck.

Sometimes I wonder if I would be better off being an accountant or a air stewardess, occasionally I fantasize about quitting my job and joining investment banking instead. Same rubbish hours, but three times the pay, not even including bonuses yet.

Urgh.

On the upside, I have recently re-discovered my love for korean series.
I'm currently watching my girlfriend is a nine tailed fox.
OMG I <3 it!!
the girl is soooooo cuteeee.
and so is the guy.
They have such great chemistry together.
So yes this is what I've been spending my time after work doing in case you were wondering.
Lazying on my couch, wrapped up in my duvet watching Korean series, eating Korean noodles as well! =D
