Had like 3 hours to kill at the airport. Tried reading, and watching shows on my laptop but did not succeed. Ended up showing Shiao Wei the Chua Soi Lek's sex video. Hahaha! Had to turn the volume as there were some bits where the girl screams in ecstacy. hahahah.
Verdict: We are both extremely grossed out by the video.
Started school again on Monday. A bunch of boring lectures. Reminiscent of the public health lectures we had in semester 2. Must be the coffee I drank in the morning which kept me from dozing off. Also it's freezing in Aberdeen even when I'm sleeping under the duvet and another blanket.
My time is still upside down. Can't sleep at night whereas tend to fall asleep in the evenings right after dinner and wake up at about 10pm-ish. Arghs hate having to stay awake the whole night. gah serves me right for spending all my nights in London watching tv, hanging out with friends, cooking till the wee hours of the morning. Spent my sleep-less nights reading the undercover economist and this book about a doctor's life, can't remember the title though. Anyway the undercover economist is a great book. Highly recommended. I also managed to watch a few movies on my trusty laptop. Watched failure to launch and 50 first dates, and as much as I love Sarah Jessica Parker in sex and the city I have come to the conclusion that US romantic comedies aren't as good their Korean counterparts. Korean shows are so much more superior in tugging at your heart strings and making you believe that the two people are really in love in comparison with US movies. Anyway, if you haven't watch Windstruck, you should really get around to watch it. It's absolutely heart-wrenching. Lovely, lovely movie :)

Oh yeah, took the bus to Buckie for my GP block on Wednesday morning, wind was blowing so strongly, I thought I was going to be blown away. Took the super long bus which took 3 hours which stopped at every single, little, tiny town on the coast. But managed to get a glimpse of rural life in coastal parts of Scotland. I do admit that the coastal areas are gorgeous, with tiny fishing villages dotted all along the coastal lines. Got to see huge angry waves crashing against big rocks set against a backdrop of a gritty grey sky, due to the bad weather. When I reached Buckie, I nearly died, it was cold, wet and windy. Extremely lethal combination I tell you. Anyway called the GP people up and they were nice enough to come to town to pick me up. It's quite a far far walk to the GP practice I can assure you.
Spent my days in GP doing a few mindless tasks such as filing and printing up prescriptions. Working at reception, drinking loads of tea and coffee and helping myself to the box of Thornton's chocolate sitting on top of the cupboard. Was also damn stressed out with my elective project, cause I called my elective supervisor on Monday and Tuesday when I was still in Aberdeen and she was busy and couldn't meet up with me, and I had to go off to Buckie on Wednesday. Thank goodness for Shi Xian and Shiao Wei who helped me sort out what to do with my electives and also gave me the number for Aberdeen Royal infirmary Hospital, as we were all in the same boat. Anyway managed to get in touch with my supervisor in the end and arranged to meet her on Friday afternoon.
Rushed back to Aberdeen from Buckie on Friday morning. Thankfully the weather was absolutely lovely. Had to take the bus to Keith and then the train to Aberdeen. Much grateful for the help from the staff of my GP practice in helping me to contact the bus company to enquire about the time of arrival and departure of the bus and where the bus stop was. I am truly surrounded by angels!!
Had a lovely view of the countryside on the train. Anyway here are some pics. A cloudless, sunny day perfect for a picnic :) Very picturesque.
Waited for the bus for almost 15 minutes =) hahah see there you get to see the sun at last! or maybe I get to see the sun at last, since I have not seen the sun in ages! I think it always seems to be obstructed by the clouds or something, or maybe it's because I wake up too late and by the time I wake up the sun has usually set. hhahaa!
There's Keith station at last! Managed to reach there after half an hour on the bus! Oh yeah, because I'm still a student I got half price on the bus. Being a student in UK has so much benefits, it's unbelivable!
Yeay!! Train arrived at last! My wait is over! haha I only waited for like 5-10 minutes.
Anyway here is the joke of the day. I was trying to buy a one way ticket back to Aberdeen and the cashier ask me whether I had any young person railcard and I was like nope, and then he continued by asking, "Is there by any chance you're under 16?". Hahaha. Wohooo! bleahs bleahs. Do I seriously look that young???
Oh right, that's the end of the post for today. More adventures coming up soon!!
