Arghsss, my chinese new year plans this year are damn screwed up at the moment.
Was thinking of doing Dundee, but I can't go alone cause stupid Mok thinks it will generate rumors, and CK is torn between going to Dundee and Inverness. Mok obviously knows that the only reason I want to go down Dundee is because of the Food!! Mok can cook very well!! He's also still single and available and future doctor. hahahha. Travelling to Dundee by bus is only about 1.5 hours and about 3.50 pounds one way. The cheapest option by far!
Want to go down Manchester, got soo many people there seriously! But no.1 It's freaking 6 hours away, and also secondly the bus ticket is like 15 quid one way! What the heck! Don't need to talk about train cause that will be even more expensive.
Thirdly which was Edinburgh, but kinda pointless cause Yan Mei will be down in Manchester to see her sister. Argh...
And Inverness, well like so-so, cause take a bus up there will be like freaking 5 hours and stop at every single tiny town and that would cost 6.35 pounds one way, and if I take the train two way booked early would be 15 pounds.
Haih, looks like I'm going to be bloody stuck in Aberdeen for Chinese New Year with no one around! Help!
Oh right, I should quit checking timetables, prices for train, buses and airplanes. I'm getting addicted!
Current great news is I have found trains from Aberdeen to London if bought in advance and limited in quantity can be bought at 18 pounds single. Hurray! haha But still too early for me to book for trip to London in Easter. Oh yeah bloody BMI flight for Aberdeen-London cheap 32 pounds flight for Easter has been sold out! and I'm definitely not paying 42 pounds for the flight, and arghs easyjet prices have increased exponentially!! double arghs.
Oops, time to go out now before the sun sets!!

Will be back in Aberdeen permanently from 6th February onwards!!

Buckie
Got back to Aberdeen from London last Friday, went shopping in town on Saturday but didn't find anything. Anyway my resolution after this is not to buy anymore things cause I just realized my room is packed full of too many stuffs and need to carry them down and dump the things in London. Spent the whole night at the airport with Shiao Wei. Shiao Wei's uncle kindly drove us down to the bus stop to catch the bus to the airport at 2am in the morning! :)
Had like 3 hours to kill at the airport. Tried reading, and watching shows on my laptop but did not succeed. Ended up showing Shiao Wei the Chua Soi Lek's sex video. Hahaha! Had to turn the volume as there were some bits where the girl screams in ecstacy. hahahah.
Verdict: We are both extremely grossed out by the video.
Started school again on Monday. A bunch of boring lectures. Reminiscent of the public health lectures we had in semester 2. Must be the coffee I drank in the morning which kept me from dozing off. Also it's freezing in Aberdeen even when I'm sleeping under the duvet and another blanket.
My time is still upside down. Can't sleep at night whereas tend to fall asleep in the evenings right after dinner and wake up at about 10pm-ish. Arghs hate having to stay awake the whole night. gah serves me right for spending all my nights in London watching tv, hanging out with friends, cooking till the wee hours of the morning. Spent my sleep-less nights reading the undercover economist and this book about a doctor's life, can't remember the title though. Anyway the undercover economist is a great book. Highly recommended. I also managed to watch a few movies on my trusty laptop. Watched failure to launch and 50 first dates, and as much as I love Sarah Jessica Parker in sex and the city I have come to the conclusion that US romantic comedies aren't as good their Korean counterparts. Korean shows are so much more superior in tugging at your heart strings and making you believe that the two people are really in love in comparison with US movies. Anyway, if you haven't watch Windstruck, you should really get around to watch it. It's absolutely heart-wrenching. Lovely, lovely movie :)
Oh yeah, took the bus to Buckie for my GP block on Wednesday morning, wind was blowing so strongly, I thought I was going to be blown away. Took the super long bus which took 3 hours which stopped at every single, little, tiny town on the coast. But managed to get a glimpse of rural life in coastal parts of Scotland. I do admit that the coastal areas are gorgeous, with tiny fishing villages dotted all along the coastal lines. Got to see huge angry waves crashing against big rocks set against a backdrop of a gritty grey sky, due to the bad weather. When I reached Buckie, I nearly died, it was cold, wet and windy. Extremely lethal combination I tell you. Anyway called the GP people up and they were nice enough to come to town to pick me up. It's quite a far far walk to the GP practice I can assure you.
Spent my days in GP doing a few mindless tasks such as filing and printing up prescriptions. Working at reception, drinking loads of tea and coffee and helping myself to the box of Thornton's chocolate sitting on top of the cupboard. Was also damn stressed out with my elective project, cause I called my elective supervisor on Monday and Tuesday when I was still in Aberdeen and she was busy and couldn't meet up with me, and I had to go off to Buckie on Wednesday. Thank goodness for Shi Xian and Shiao Wei who helped me sort out what to do with my electives and also gave me the number for Aberdeen Royal infirmary Hospital, as we were all in the same boat. Anyway managed to get in touch with my supervisor in the end and arranged to meet her on Friday afternoon.
Rushed back to Aberdeen from Buckie on Friday morning. Thankfully the weather was absolutely lovely. Had to take the bus to Keith and then the train to Aberdeen. Much grateful for the help from the staff of my GP practice in helping me to contact the bus company to enquire about the time of arrival and departure of the bus and where the bus stop was. I am truly surrounded by angels!!
Had a lovely view of the countryside on the train. Anyway here are some pics. A cloudless, sunny day perfect for a picnic :) Very picturesque.
Waited for the bus for almost 15 minutes =) hahah see there you get to see the sun at last! or maybe I get to see the sun at last, since I have not seen the sun in ages! I think it always seems to be obstructed by the clouds or something, or maybe it's because I wake up too late and by the time I wake up the sun has usually set. hhahaa!
There's Keith station at last! Managed to reach there after half an hour on the bus! Oh yeah, because I'm still a student I got half price on the bus. Being a student in UK has so much benefits, it's unbelivable!
Yeay!! Train arrived at last! My wait is over! haha I only waited for like 5-10 minutes.
Anyway here is the joke of the day. I was trying to buy a one way ticket back to Aberdeen and the cashier ask me whether I had any young person railcard and I was like nope, and then he continued by asking, "Is there by any chance you're under 16?". Hahaha. Wohooo! bleahs bleahs. Do I seriously look that young???
hahhaa toldcha it was pretty!! Anyway the picture was taken out through the train window. It probably will be loads prettier if taken in the open.
Oh right, that's the end of the post for today. More adventures coming up soon!!

The Cure
haha basically I found out that the cure for my loneliness was London.
Yes my magical elixir was actually going down to London for my christmas holidays.
Now I can stay in my room the whole day long, and not feel lonely or feel the need to look for anyone.
On another note, managed to figure out my elective topic in a matter of minutes after being on the phone with Shi Xian and Shiao Wei. Thanks! Shall go look for my elective advisor tomorrow.
I am also very pissed at myself for not picking a bed and breakfast for my GP placement. I thought that they would allocate me to a bed and breakfast instead now I have ended up in a stupid self-catered flat. arghs. At least they are providing me with food.
Also very annoyed with people who cannot mind their own business. No I do not want to tell you my results, and no I don't want to tell you where I am either or doing what, cause it's none of your business anyways. Am missing Inverness where nobody gives a crap what you're doing.
Oh well, it's back to school for me tomorrow.

Happy New Year 2008!!!
Anyway before I forget,
Happy new year losers!!
Hope this new year will be a great one for me as the previous one was =)
But 2007 passed by so fast that I didn't even have time to catch my breath.
I feel like I'm running some sort of marathon these days.
Or perhaps I'm lazying around too much that I don't even realise that time is passing me by so fast.
Anyway on another note, if I eat another roasted duck rice from Four Seasons, I am so going to puke! bluerghh..
This is my third time at the restaurant within this 3 weeks.
Oh yes I love facebook! I managed to find my long lost best friend who migrated off to Australia when I was 9 years old!! hehe <3

What the ......??
Arghss..
Read further articles regarding the sex scandal.
History is repeating itself again.
I bet you that they're going to punish the whistle-blower instead, and then try to ignore what the politican's wrong doing.
How predictable....
