So I’m back again in Kuala Lumpur after more than a year !
This time for Chinese New Year !
Flew with emirates this time as Malaysian Airlines has gone up again in price.
Smelled delicious roti canai whilst queuing up to get bus tickets. Asked the lady how much it costs and she says it’s now RM 1.50. I say “what ? How is it so expensive?”, she replied nonchalantly,” kalau awak mau 70 sen, awak buat sendirilah” (translation: if you want it for 70 cents you have to make it yourself)
It’s not that I can’t afford it but inflation in Malaysia is crazy. Prices of everything has doubled in the last 5-10 years.
