Moved to Colchester

......and I'm back again!

Currently writing from a new place! I've moved from Glasgow to Colchester now for my new CMT job.

So I've started core medical training since the 1st of August in the East of England deanery. So far so good. It was heart breaking for me to leave Glasgow. I spent a few nights crying, and I almost wanted to give up my CMT training job to go back to Glasgow and the someone. I never thought I was that sort of person who would even think of that. But in the end I didn't.

I am settling in nicely at the moment in Colchester, everyone is really nice and friendly, and one thing I have to say is the weather here is fanstastic!! So different from up in Scotland. It's so warm here, I am sweating most of the time, the skies are blue. It's like being permanently on holiday so far even though I am working. Currently staying in hospital accommodation, so it's about 2 minutes to walk to work! Sweet! So I've ended up with lots of free time and energy and not quite sure what to do with myself! I am actually quite surprised that I've managed to settle in so fast. I thought it was going to be unfriendly and strange as most of the other trainees are London graduates, so I'm glad that things are working out so far. It's also really nice to start CMT training having passed 2 parts of the MRCP.

We've already started PACES teaching for last part of MRCP. It's been pretty intense so far. This week itself is almost fully booked with PACES classes after work. Especially the history taking and communication skills part is pretty tough. I'm so glad I've ended up in a hospital where there's good and organized PACES teaching going on. Although I've lost something important to me, perhaps I gained something else instead.

I'm glad my Scottish friends have not forgotten me yet and I still get some texts from them :) and knowing that I am missed :) I miss all of you very much too!!
